It relates what was done to support the ground operations on D-Day itself, and immediately thereafter. It then follows the campaign inland. It also covers general air operations, supply drops and operations against the V-bomb offensive, Operation Crossbow. Further details include attacks on radar installations, coastal batteries, air-sea rescue and leaflet drops.
