Page edges very slightly browned. Dust jacket not price clipped with a piece missing from front and a smaller piece from top of spine. 308pp. This is a comprehensive account of all the aboriginal tribes of the Indian sub-continent. For ease of presentation they are divided into five separate groups depending on geographical region. Firstly is given a prehistory of India followed by the origin of the aboriginal tribes and the tribes are then described in detail.
