Description
Tippex on upper corner opposite half-title page. No other marks or inscriptions. A very clean very tight copy with bright unmarked boards and no bumping to corners. Inside (not visible) surface of jacket with tape marks. Dust jacket price clipped but not marked with nicks, small tears and rubbing to upper and lower edges. 208pp. Augustus Caesar was the founder of the great Roman Empire. This very well illustrated in-depth account dscusses his background, his struggle for supremacy after the murder of his great-uncle Julius Caesar, Roman society and politics as well as his patronage of the arts.
