Washington, DC, Government Printing Office (for the House of Representatives), 1896. 4to. 252 pp., 63 plates (numbered A-I; 1-54) of which eight chromolithographed, and one much larger, double-folded, and one large, double-folded table. Contemporary half calf over marbled boards. Spine with gilt title. = A very good, well-illustrated monograph on the economically important American lobster. This is the United States Fish Commission Bulletin XV, for 1895, with in the rear nine other papers on aquatic animals of possible economical value, such as Oysters from Mobile Bay, Idaho Salmon, and fishes and molluscs from Arkansas and Indian Territories. Off this work there are many print-on-demand copies on the internet, all of very inferior quality. Boards rubbed, with part of the spine cover detached. internally a very good clean copy.
