Roy. 8vo., First Edition, with 8 coloured plates and very numerous illustrations (a few partly coloured in a child's hand) in the text, small contemporary signature on front paste-down, free endpapers lightly spotted, page-edges mildly browning as usual; original red cloth, upper board blocked and lettered in gilt enclosing large coloured illustration (not repeated in text) mounted in gilt frame, back gilt extra, a very good, firm copy in unclipped dustwrapper, the latter lightly age-browned and with minor loss (not affecting lettering). Contributing authors include H. Mortimer Batten, Keith Orme and Sydney Horler. Scarce in the dustwrapper, especially in this condition.
