8vo., Second Edition; handsomely bound in full dark red crushed morocco, sides with gilt frame border, back with raised bands, second and fourth compartments lettered and ruled in gilt, all other compartments tooled in gilt, gilt top, hand-made endpapers, uncut, ribbon marker, original gilt from backstrip preserved and mounted on new leaf, a most attractive copy ideal as a gift or for presentation. Sold from an institution with its small neat blind stamp on title. With the trade stamp of Thacker of Bombay on half-title verso. First published in two volumes in 1882. This is the first single-volume edition.
