(Signed insert - see end) No marks or inscriptions. Slight crease to spine. A very clean very tight copy with unmarked dark brown cloth boards and no bumping to corners. Dust jacket not price clipped or marked or torn or creased with slight indenting to rear. Jacket now protected in fully removable transparent sleeve. 333pp. An account of the events of 16 October 1834 when a fire consumed the Parliament building in Westminster. The author also paints a portrait of the political and social context of the time. Tucked in on House of Lords notepaper is a message saying 'One of the books by Caroline Shenton we discussed.
