A very clean very tight copy with bright unmarked boards and no bumping to corners. 141pp. The story of a gypsy girl and her struggle for a means to enable her to earn enough to care for herself and her family. Her chance meeting with a nearby rich family brings unimagined adventures and emotional conclusions. The author who lives on a farm high in the Pennines near Halifax will have used some of her local knowledge in this work. Extremely scarce.
