8vo., First Edition, title lightly spotted; attractively bound in mid-nineteenth century half calf, pebble-grain cloth boards, back with five raised bands tooled in gilt, second compartment with leather label ruled and lettered in gilt, red sprinkled edges, green endpapers, a notably fresh, clean copy. The errata leaf, sometimes missing, is present with this copy. With the fine engraved nineteenth century armorial bookplate of George Bridgewater on front paste-down. THIS COPY WAS LATELY IN THE LIBRARY OF JACK SIMMONS, SOMETIME EMINENT PROFESSOR OF LOCAL HISTORY AT THE UNIVERSITY OF LEICESTER, AND BEARS HIS NEAT SIGNATURE ON FRONT FREE ENDPAPER. Brockett, 50560.
