No marks or inscriptions. No creasing to covers. A mostly clean tight copy with bright unmarked boards, rubbing to ends of sunned spine and no bumping to corners. Front board with lavish gilt embossing and lettering. Gilt top of page edges, other edges untrimmed and dusty. End papers a little dusty with a few fingermarks and traces of foxing. 185pp. The author has re-told the story of the life of Sir Thomas More, from Henry VIII's time as speech from the participants. With twenty-four lovely coloured illustrations from CE Brock. Quite scarce in this edition.
