Description
Folio copper engraved plate (image size 340 x 410 mm), a birds-eye view of The Mote and the surrounding park and gardens drawn by Thomas Badeslade (active c. 1719-1750) and engraved by Johannes Kip (1653?-1721), coat of arms to centre head, central fold (strengthened on reverse), old closed tear paper repair, a little creased, some minor age toning, margins a little frayed and trimmed. Originally published to be included in John Harrisís ìHistory of Kentî 1719.
