8vo., Second Impression, some light offsetting from fold-ins to free endpapers; blue cloth, gilt back, covers mildly age-marked else a good, bright copy in unclipped, lightly age-soiled dustwrapper, the latter chipped (not affecting lettering) at head and tail of backstrip. Queen's classic crime novel was first published in 1945. The secons impression is the 'First Cheap Edition'.
