Three volume set. No marks or inscriptions to any volume. No creasing to covers or to spines. Three very clean very tight copies with unmarked dull green cloth boards, slight sunning to spines, dusty tops of page edges, a little foxing to end papers and page edges and minor bumping to one different corner of each volume. Fore and lower page edges untrimmed. Each copy with a spare replaceable spine title label at the rear of each. Total of 928pp. The plays of John Marston were written and first published around the end of the 16th and early 17th centuries. Volume I comprises Antonio and Mellida, Antonios Revenge and The Malcontent. Volume II has Sophonisba, The Dutch Courtezan, The Fawne and What You Will. Volume III has The Insatiate Countesse, East-Ward Hoe, Jacke Drums Entertainment and Histrio-Mastix. Publication dates of Volumes I, II and III are 1934, 1938 and 1939. A heavy set.
