Shakespeare per le cure del critico letterario Edmond Malone (1741-1812), che tuttavia disconobbe questa edizione: “Malone disclaimed any connection with, or responsibility for, this edition” (Folger, Printed books, vol. 23, p. 359). L'edizione ufficiale curata da Malone apparve sempre nel 1790 in 10 volumi, stampata da H. Baldwin for J. Rivington and Sons, ecc.
