The Crowell reprint of the first American Edition. WIth an engraved frontispiece and and two engraved plates of Roman scenes, head- and tail-pieces throughout, red ruled borders to each page of text. 8vo, publisher’s original olive cloth extensively decorated in black and gilt on the upper cover and spine, a.e.g. vi, 215 pp. A nice copy, the binding a bit mellowed by time but still attractive.
Edizione: illustrated. a nice antique copy of macaulay’s poetical writings. it includes the “lays of ancient rome” and all the “miscellaneous poems” and “inscriptions”.
