A very clean very tight copy with bright unmarked boards and no bumping to corners. 157pp. Fascinating social history of the Royd family, from the 14th century to date. The account begins in Soyland above Rishworth/Ripponden and covers many family members who settled elsewhere. The main emphasis is on Rochdale wher the family became one of the town's most prominent and wealthiest in the 18th and 19th centuries. Very well illustrated with photographs, maps and census details.
