8vo., First Edition, with frontispiece, double-page map and pictorial endpapers; black cloth, backstrip lettered in silver, a near fine copy in unclipped dustwrapper. Reginald Teague-Jones took the name 'Ronald Sinclair' to avoid retribution from the Soviets following the massacre of the Baku Commissars. He lived under this alias for seventy years, his true identity being revealed only after his death in 1988 at the age of 99.This dramatic account is based on his secret diary.
