2 volumes. LIMITED EDITION SIGNED BY THE ILLUSTRATOR, one of only 1500 hand-numbered copies designed and printed by A.A.M. Stols and SIGNED by the illustrator, Pierre Falké. With attractive full-page colour plates from illustrations made in Paris by Pierre Falké Tall 8vo, in full gold and blue cloth, the boards and spine decorated in French motif featuring fleur-de-lis, and with gilt lettering on the spine, in the original slipcase of peach paper-covered boards printed in black on the back panel. xxvii, 370; 364 pp. The books are in especially fine condition, the text pristine and the bindings beautifully preserved, as nice a set as we have ever seen, the slipcase is sturdy, attractive and unworn, with a bit of very mild mellowing to the paper and with one small unobtrusive mark to the side.
