8vo., First Edition thus, with frontispiece, 9 portrait plates, 2 plates of facsimiles and several full-page facsimiles in the text; red cloth, gilt back, a very good, bright, clean copy in price-clipped dustwrapper. Laval's diary was written in Fresnes prison whilst he was awaiting trial and completed in the last days before his execution. It contains much previously unpublished fact and several previously unrevealed episodes in the life of the ex-Premier. UNCOMMON IN THIS CONDITION.
