Es enth� etwa 900 Biographien und ist eines der bedeutendsten Nachschlagewerke zur Hadith-�erlieferung aus der Mamelukenzeit. / From the library of Prof. Dr. Albrecht Noth (1937-1999), long-time professor for the history and culture of the Near East in Bonn and Hamburg. In good condition. The main work of Ibn Khallikan (1211-1282), by full title Wafayat al-a'yan wa-anba' abna' az-zaman ("Deaths of Eminent Men and History of the Sons of the Epoch"). It contains about 900 biographies and is one of the most important encyclopedias of Hadith narrators from the time of the Mamluks.
