No marks or inscriptions. No creasing to covers or to spine. A very clean very tight copy with unmarked olive green boards, gilt embossing to front, clear gilt lettering to spine, gilt top of page edges, minor rubbing to spine ends and no bumping to corners. Fore and lower page edges untrimmed and dusty. 336pp. An account of the author's simple living in natural surroundings over two years in the 1850s. He lived in a self-built cabin at Walden Pond on land owned by Ralph Waldo Emerson. During the time he made a number of precise scientific observations. Undated ca 1886.
