4to., Second Edition, with a coloured frontispiece (original tissue guard present), 20 coloured plates (all with original captioned tissue guards), 6 plates on monochrome and a folding map; armorial cloth gilt, gilt back, upper board lightly creased, backstrip mildly faded (but all gilt wholly legible) else a very good, clean copy. A PRESENTATION COPY FROM THE AUTHOR WITH HER SIGNED HOLOGRAPH INSCRIPTION ON FRONT FREE ENDPAPER. First published by Guardian Press in a limited edition in 1946. This edition adds the monochrome plates by Barns and a detailed Appendix. Green, Howson & O'Leary, 2081; not recorded by Powell or Woods.
