La storia della moda in Francia dai costumi dei gallo-romani attraverso Carlomagno sino al lusso del XIV secolo. Enrico IV e la decadenza, i mustacchi, le parucche, il giustacuore ed il tallone rosso. Il bizzarro di Luigi XVI, il gilet alla Robespierre ed il berretto alla Pierrot, la moda dei cento giorni, la Resturazione. Il vestito dopo il 1848. Nomenclatura delle stoffe del XIII secolo. Lieve brunitura della carta, legatura leggermente lenta dovuta alla mancanza del dorso. Una interessante carrellata sulla nazione che da sempre detta la moda.
