8vo., First Edition, with coloured frontispiece, 4 plates in monochrome and many hundreds of illustrations and diagrams in the text, free endpapers faintly browned; original series binding of green cloth, upper board and backstrip blocked and lettered in gilt, green top, a near fine copy in unclipped dustwrapper. 'Probably fewer copies were printed than any other title in the series. The book is still the standard work on British centipedes and their relatives, and is in demand' (Marren).
