Gli insorti lottano per la libertà della terra patria oppressa dal nemico. Con i valorosi partigiani, spesso annidati nelle foreste ammantate di neve, sono anche donne e bambini; e nella santa notte, riuniti in un doloroso presepio, sognano Natali migliori.
