Freda Holland, una giovane e bella infemiera, nota a Reading (Londra) per il terrore che provava davanti alle fiamme, non ha esitato a slanciarsi otto volte fra quelle, altissime, che divampavano nella clinica ostetrica a cui era addetta, in soccorso di 15 neonati che stavano bruciando vivi strappandone 12 alla morte (Walter Molino)
