RETROCOPERTINA TRIBUNA ILLUSTRATA nr. 14 del 1917
L'imperatore della strage: tragiche parole il deputato Kunert ha volte recentemente in pieno parlamento tedesco al Kaiser stesso, all'idolo della cieca barbarie teutonica, affermando che in Germania ormai la nutrizione è così cattiva da potersi parlare di "vera fame" ed esclamando: "Durante la guerra sono già caduti milioni di tedeschi. La colpa della sventura di questa guerra è del kaiser e del Cancelliere!". E con tale discorso è stato dunque un tedesco stesso che ha d'un tratto evocato, nella tumultuosa aula del Reichstag, la lugubre visione della strage seminata sulla sua nazione dal fosco e feroce imperatore (Scagliarini)
