Due volumi in 8 legati in tela (mende e piccole mancanze), titolo ai tasselli ai dorsi, sguardie (exlibris stampato), antiporta ai due volumi, frontespizi, XXV, 648 pp. in numerazione continua, circa duecento tavole al tratto in ocra ft. Una stupenda carrellata nell'arte pittorica italiana dall'antica paleocristiana ai naturalisti del XVII secolo. Viaggio che accompagnato, oltre che da esauriente descrizione scritta, da una doviziosa e deliziosa messe iconografica. Davvero ininfluenti le mende, in pi che bello stato, assolutamente apprezzabile e non facilmente reperibile.
